Hello, Angel Wellness Club 🪽
Last week in Monaco felt especially personal for me. I celebrated my birthday surrounded by our team, dear guests and so many people who have become part of the Angel community.
Seeing the café full of familiar faces, conversations and hugs reminded me again that Angel has always been about much more than food.
My biggest wish for Monaco is that Angel Cakes continues to become a place where people genuinely feel welcome, where you come back not only for something you love from the menu, but also for the people, the atmosphere and that feeling of belonging.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who chooses Angel Cakes and Angel Wellness Club, supports what we are building and keeps coming back. We have so many ideas for our projects and more beautiful events ahead, and I’m very excited for everything still to come 🤍
Sending you all a big virtual hug

We’ve just hosted our first Angel Wellness Club event in Monaco together with Yumé, bringing the community together for Pilates & Breakfast at Angel Cakes.
It felt like a lovely first step for the club in Monaco, combining movement, good food and time together beyond the café.
And this is only the beginning. We already have more events and collaborations coming up, and we can’t wait to share them with you soon. Stay tuned 🪽

For a while, better sleep seemed to mean adding more: more data, more tracking, more supplements, more gadgets, more rules. That is essentially what sleepmaxxing grew out of: smart rings, cooling systems, blackout masks, sunrise lamps, magnesium, mouth tape and increasingly detailed bedtime routines, all promising to help us sleep a little better.
It makes sense that the trend caught on. Sleep affects how we feel the next day in such an immediate way that improving it can feel like one of the most useful things we can do for ourselves.
What is interesting now is that the conversation is starting to shift. The Global Wellness Institute has named “From Sleepmaxxing to Simplicity” as one of its key sleep trends for 2026. After years of adding more layers to our routines, the focus is moving back towards the basics our bodies already respond to: light, darkness, timing, temperature, movement and consistency.
That does not mean every sleep gadget is unnecessary:
a wearable can help you notice patterns
a sunrise lamp can make dark mornings feel easier
a better sleep mask can genuinely help if your room never gets fully dark.
The problem starts when all that information becomes another thing to manage. There is even a term for this: orthosomnia, used to describe becoming overly focused on achieving the “perfect” night of sleep, often through scores and tracking data. You might wake up feeling fine, open your app, see a disappointing number and suddenly decide you slept badly.
That feels very familiar to modern wellness culture in general. Sometimes the tools designed to help us tune into our bodies end up making us pay more attention to the numbers than to how we actually feel.
Instead of asking, What else can I add to my routine?, it may be more useful to ask: What helps my body understand when it is time to be awake, and when it is time to rest?
At Angel Wellness Club, that is the part of the trend we like most: less chasing the perfect sleep score, more understanding the conditions that help you sleep well naturally.
