These are a few things I’ve picked to watch recently for inspiration: stories about food, nature, craftsmanship, beauty, patience and people who have chosen to do things with real care.

Film · France

A small rose grower is trying to save her struggling family business with the help of three employees who know almost nothing about flowers.

It’s a lovely reminder of the value of true craftsmanship and what it means to keep doing something with care in a world that increasingly rewards speed and scale 🪽

Film · South Korea

A young woman leaves Seoul and returns to the small village where she grew up, slowly finding her way back to herself through food, nature and the changing seasons.

There’s something incredibly comforting about this film. No dramatic wellness message, no transformation narrative, just cooking, growing things, walking, resting and paying attention to everyday life.

Series · Japan · 2023

Set in Kyoto, this is a quiet, beautifully observed story about food, friendship, daily rituals and finding your own path.

Food becomes its own language of care throughout the series: something prepared slowly, shared with others and woven into the rhythm of ordinary days. It’s warm, gentle and full of those tiny details that somehow make everyday life feel more meaningful.

Documentary · France · 2021

A journey across the Tibetan plateau in search of the elusive snow leopard.

A beautiful reminder that sometimes you notice much more when you stop rushing to find something.

Series · France / Japan / USA · 2023–2026

An elegant, beautifully filmed story built around taste, memory and the extraordinary ways our senses shape experience.

The series is fascinating for the way it explores flavour: how we learn to notice it, how deeply it connects to memory and how something as simple as taste can become its own form of storytelling.

Documentary · Italy · 2020

Hidden in the forests of Piedmont, a small group of elderly men and their dogs search for the rare Alba truffle.

It’s charming, visually exquisite and almost completely removed from the pace of modern life.

What have you been watching lately that made you slow down, think differently or simply feel good?
