Hey Angels,

I've been studying nutrition and gut health for many years, yet it's one of those subjects that continues to surprise me.

The more I learn, the more I realise that there is rarely one universal answer.

Recently I was discussing digestion with colleagues, and we found ourselves coming back to the same conclusion: even advice that is backed by science doesn't work exactly the same way for everyone. Take fibre, for example. It's often described as something we should all eat more of, yet some people genuinely feel better when they increase it gradually, while others need to approach it very differently depending on their digestion, lifestyle, or current gut health.

That conversation reminded me of something I think we often forget in wellness.

The goal isn't to follow the longest list of rules or restrictions. It's to become curious about your own body.

I've learned to pay much closer attention to how I feel after eating. Not from a place of guilt or calorie counting, but simply by noticing. Does this meal leave me feeling light and energised? Calm and focused? Or sluggish, bloated, and ready for another cup of coffee?

Those small signals tell us far more than we sometimes realise.

Our digestion doesn't just influence our stomach. It affects our mood, our energy, our productivity, our sleep, and even how connected we feel to ourselves throughout the day.

This week, I'd love to invite you to look at digestion through a gentler lens. Instead of asking, "What foods should I avoid?" perhaps we can ask a different question:

"What helps my body feel its best?"

With love,
Alina

Last week was an exciting one for our team at AWClub SIRO.

We partnered with On for a special wellness event, welcoming hundreds of guests and serving over 800 fresh juices throughout the day. It was inspiring to see so many people come together around movement, recovery, and nourishing food. These are values that both of our communities share.

To celebrate the collaboration, we also introduced our Vegan Tiramisu Oatmeal Porridge. Comforting, wholesome, and packed with nourishing ingredients, it quickly became one of the favourites of the day.

Collaborations like these remind us that wellness is about so much more than what happens on your plate. It's about creating spaces where movement, mindful eating, and community come together.

If you're in Dubai, we'd love to welcome you to AWClub SIRO for a nourishing breakfast, functional drinks and a little pause in your day.

Gut health is becoming less about rules and more about relationships.

For years, wellness has encouraged us to chase the next gut "fix."

More probiotics.
More fibre.
Another supplement.
Another elimination diet.

But one of the biggest shifts we're seeing in 2026 is moving away from one-size-fits-all advice toward bio-individuality — the understanding that every gut is unique.

One of the largest nutrition studies found that two people can eat exactly the same meal and experience very different blood sugar, insulin and metabolic responses, supporting the idea that nutrition should be personalized rather than one-size-fits-all.

That's why experts are moving away from asking:

"What's the healthiest diet?"

and toward a much more useful question:

"What helps my body feel its best?"

This year, I wanted to deepen my own understanding of this topic, so I completed the Gut Health course at the Integrative Nutrition Institute (IIN).

One of the biggest takeaways wasn't another list of foods to eat or avoid. Instead, it was a simple reminder that healthy digestion is built on everyday foundations, not perfection.

The course encouraged looking beyond individual foods and seeing gut health through a much wider lens.

It starts with choosing mostly whole, minimally processed foods, but it doesn't stop there. It also means preparing food in ways that your body tolerates well, paying attention to the quality of what you eat, and remembering that how you eat can be just as important as what you eat.

When we slow down, chew our food, and create a calmer environment around meals, we give our digestive system the opportunity to do what it was designed to do.

What I loved most is that this approach doesn't ask us to follow someone else's rules.

It asks us to become more curious about our own bodies.

Instead of searching for the "perfect" diet, we can start noticing how different foods make us feel, what leaves us energised, what feels nourishing, and what simply doesn't work for us.

For me, that's one of the most exciting directions wellness is moving in.

One of my favourite ways to support digestion is by coming back to simple, nourishing foods. Our Restorative Vegetable Broth is one of those recipes I make again and again. It's slowly simmered with seasonal vegetables, aromatic herbs, fresh ginger, turmeric, mushrooms, and optional sea vegetables to create a deeply flavourful, comforting broth that's gentle on digestion.

Enjoy it on its own, sip it between meals, or use it as a base for soups, grains, and other nourishing dishes.
