Hello, Angel Wellness Club 🪽

Lately, I’ve been drawn to the idea of mental fitness. We already give so much attention to the habits that support our body, from movement and nutrition to sleep and recovery, and I like thinking about the brain in a similar way. Memory, attention, curiosity and our ability to keep learning all benefit from regular care, even when that care looks surprisingly simple.

And that simplicity is the most reassuring part. So much of what supports long-term brain health is already familiar: sleeping well, moving regularly, eating a varied diet, learning something new, spending time in real conversation and giving our attention a break from constant stimulation. None of it requires turning brain health into another project to manage.

This week, we’re looking at how these everyday choices add up, what the research genuinely tells us about keeping the brain healthy and adaptable over time, and which newer ideas in the brain-health world are actually worth our attention.

With love,
Alina 🪽

This week, we spotted a little Angel Cakes moment on the SKIMS account, filmed at Angel Cakes Dubai 🪽

We always love seeing the way you make our spaces part of your own routines: stopping by in the morning, meeting a friend over breakfast, grabbing something before a workout, or coming back afterwards for coffee, a smoothie or something to eat.

Those everyday moments are exactly what we want Angel Cakes to be part of, so seeing them captured and shared always feels special. We genuinely love seeing how you experience Angel Cakes in your own way 🤍

Brain health is becoming the new longevity

For the past few years, longevity has been largely body-focused. We have learned to track glucose, protect sleep, build muscle and test biological age. Now, cognitive health is beginning to take its place alongside them as another important part of how we think about ageing well.

The Global Wellness Institute has named “Lifespan Brain Health” one of its major mental-wellness trends for 2026, while the Global Wellness Summit is pointing in a similar direction with the rise of neurowellness. Together, they reflect a broader shift towards caring for cognitive function earlier, rather than only thinking about the brain once decline becomes a concern.

That means paying attention to memory, focus and mental resilience in your thirties and forties, while also thinking about how to preserve cognitive independence later in life. It is part of the reason neuroplasticity has become so central to the discussion: the brain continues to adapt in response to learning, experience, repetition, movement and environment throughout life.

The wellness industry has noticed. Consumer EEG devices, neurofeedback, nervous-system wearables, focus technology and increasingly elaborate “brain optimisation” experiences are moving into longevity clinics, spas and wellness spaces.

Some of this technology is genuinely interesting, but one of the most useful things about the trend is how often it brings us back to the basics. Sleep, regular movement, learning, social connection, cardiovascular health and meaningful cognitive challenge still form much of the foundation.

That is what makes brain health such an interesting new chapter in longevity. The tools may be getting more sophisticated, but many of the habits that support the brain are still built into our lifestyle 🧠
